It's time to sort through the feedback! The draft update to the Colorado Water Plan (Water Plan) was built on the last seven years of stakeholder feedback. This includes input gathered through the Technical Update and the Basin Implementation Plans that fed into the draft 2023 Water Plan. After a 90-day public comment period where CWCB staff visited all 64 counties in Colorado and connected with nearly 10,000 Coloradans, we are now sorting through more than a thousand comments on the Colorado Water Plan.
While public comments submitted via the online portal make up the majority of comments on the Water Plan, input was also shared via in-person meetings, listening sessions, emails, and spreadsheets. Staff are working to organize these additional submissions and will share as they become available. Public comments from the portal have not been redacted, but if you would like your personal information removed from public comment documents, please email Sara Leonard (sara.leonard@state.co.us).
